Bret Beyer, President

  • What is unique about RTS as an IT service provider or development company, that can’t be found at other companies?
  • A: RTS views its clients as partners; we want to grow with you not at your expense.
  • What is the best thing about working at RTS?
  • A: Every day I feel like we help companies become more stable and hopefully more efficient.
  • What motivates or drives you as a professional in business?
  • A: I realize IT is overlooked as a key element in many businesses and know from experience that IT can make or break a business. We can be a partner and make sure your IT needs won’t be overlooked and make it cost effective to outsource your needs to a company such as ours.
  • Interests outside of work?
  • A: My family comes first. I am a big sports fan, especially football and soccer. I am also involved with some charitable organizations.
  • What is the best IT advice you could give to anyone?
  • A: Spend some time understanding what part of your business relies on IT to survive. Once you understand that, you can proactively protect and preserve the critical data, elements, processes or applications the right way.

Ryan Yeako, Database Administrator

  • What is unique about RTS as an IT service provider or development company, that can’t be found at other companies?
  • A: We take the time to build custom applications to meet our client’s needs.
  • What is the best thing about working at RTS?
  • A: The best thing about working at RTS is the atmosphere. We all work as a team to accomplish our goal of meeting our customers’ expectations.
  • What got you into web design and development?
  • A: I got into web/application development in school. I took a web development class and it really spoke to me. I started working my way into the web development industry from there.
  • If I wasn’t in the IT field I would be...
  • A: If I decided not to go into the IT industry I would have been either an engineer or a teacher.
  • What is the best IT advice you could give to anyone?
  • A: Do not panic when something goes wrong. Take a step back and start at the top to find your problem.

Terry Holderbaum, Systems Engineer

  • What is unique about RTS as an IT service provider or development company, that can’t be found at other companies?
  • A: RTS has a willingness to tailor a solution that meets our client’s unique strategic needs. We understand that most of our clients are not IT consultants and they don’t wish to be. Rather, they just want to conduct their business in a reliable and predictable manner. To that end, RTS specializes in providing a strategic direction that enables our clients to utilize IT systems in a manner that enhances our customer’s bottom line, without presenting needless obstacles to future growth.
  • What motivates or drives you as a professional in the IT industry?
  • A: The IT field, much like the medical field, should be dedicated to helping the customer meet their needs in a safe and effective manner. Like all support roles, IT should pass the ammunition that enables people to do their jobs more effectively without getting in their way. Assisting people in overcoming technical challenges is very rewarding.
  • Best aha moment when working on something for a client?
  • A: About 10 years ago, I recovered a client’s Exchange server from a fire. I did it without a valid backup of the domain controller. It was a real victory moment.
  • If I wasn't in the IT field I would be...
  • A: A motorcycle builder.
  • What is the best IT advice you could give to anyone?
  • A: Three things:
    1. Remain calm. There is nothing in life that can’t be made worse by panicking.
    2. Never ever say anything that you are not empirically certain of. Your customers rely on you for the truth. Assumptions will kill you in this business.
    3. Google is your friend. You do not have to know everything. A good engineer can recognize good ideas from others and implement them in his own practices.

  • What motivates or drives you as a professional in business?
  • A: Meeting new small business owners, learning about their industry and helping them improve business with reliable processes.
  • What got you into Information Technology?
  • A: Divine intervention.
  • What is the best IT advice you could give to anyone?
  • A: Ask an expert.

Keith Eggleston, Systems Engineer

  • What is unique about RTS as an IT service provider or development company, that can’t be found at other companies?
  • A: Our employees have personalities and positive attitudes. We tend to create relationships with our contacts more so then see them as clients.
  • What is the best thing about working at RTS?
  • A: It’s a fun place to work and open to learning to expand your own personal credentials.
  • Best aha moment when working on something for a client?
  • A: Realizing that the most difficult problem bringing on the biggest issue was caused by the simplest thing. It would only have taken a few moments to start with the symptom and work my way back to the cause.
  • Interests outside of work?
  • A: Family and friends. I just have fun building machines and playing with all of the parts.
  • What is the best IT advice you could give to anyone?
  • A: Don’t rush through things. Read everything before clicking that button. Often the biggest problems can be prevented. If not... that’s where we come in.

Jon Ortiz, Web Developer

  • What is the best thing about working at RTS?
  • A: There are many best things about RTS. The first is our team. Our team consists of some of the most creative experts in the IT profession. Second, driving our company’s brand in a successful direction is rewarding. The list goes on…
  • What motivates or drives you as a professional in the Web Design industry?
  • A: Two things are big for me. Impressing the client is number one. Without them my work means nothing. The truth is, I will give them what they envisioned and much more. The brand is the second thing that drives me. A company’s brand is the core of their business. It determines a company’s success and misfortunes. Whether I am creating a company’s brand from scratch, or adding something to a brand that already exists, it must be perfect on all levels. It must instill trust in all existing customers. It must inspire people to buy it. It must invigorate the sales force to sell it. It must instill pride in the president to see its vision and give life to all employees to serve it. It must make sense within the industry and it must be a leader. The brand is many things physically and conceptually within a business. Every element must be thought of and typically, entire teams are devoted to nurturing it. The brand is what drives me.
  • What got you into web design and development?
  • A: Honestly, my mouth got me into web design and development. When I was studying fine art up in Boston I was actually anti-computers. If anyone told me I would be doing what I do now I would have told ‘em they were nuts.
  • If I wasn’t in the IT field I would be...
  • A: Jumping out of a helicopter with a snowboard strapped to my feet. Why am I in Florida again? Oh yeah, the beach.
  • What is the best IT advice you could give to anyone?
  • A: The easiest thing you can do is Google it.
